Cervone Deegan + Associates knows very well that the idea of selling your home can be overwhelming at first. There are a lot of things that need to be done as you mentally and physically prepare for the big event. However, it doesn’t have to be such a painful and arduous task. Here are some ways that can help make selling your home a breeze!
Home Prep
The first thing you will want to do is take care of the necessary decluttering, deep cleaning, and fixing. Remove all unnecessary items from each room, give the entire home a thorough cleaning, and take care of anything that needs repair. Give buyers the confidence that the home has been well cared for.
Staging
Once the home is clean and things are in good working order, now is the time to do some home staging. This means you will want to have the right amount of items in each room and have each room set up for its intended purpose. Put away that exercise bike and make sure the bed is set up and made in the guest room for example. All furniture should be scaled properly in each room and personal items should be stowed away.
Hire an Experienced Agent
When the basics are completed then it is time to contract with an experienced agent such as ourselves. We can help with providing important information about the current market in your area, work with finding the appropriate list price, and also discuss any further modifications that may help sell your home.
Negotiate
These days it is still happening where there can be multiple offers. If not at the same time, additional ones may come pretty quickly afterward. When you receive an offer there is almost always room for negotiation. Also, keep in mind that the perfect deal isn’t necessarily always about the price. Craft your negotiations to get what you need which may also mean a timeframe that fits your next move.
Prepare For Paperwork
There is a lot of paperwork involved in a home sale transaction. Be prepared to deal with this from listing contract to offer, to purchase and sale to closing documents. So long as you have all of your ducks in a row, it should not be too overwhelming. We can always be your guide for any questions that you have along the way!
